Seattle spooky-pop rockers, Golden Idols have released their spellbinding new EP, ‘Uneasy’. It is a layered release that has melodic melodies and catchy songs at the foundation of the release.
‘Uneasy’ is a 5 track EP which packs a big punch and delivers songs which will stay with you long after the music has finished. The opening track, ‘I Wanted You’ starts with a syncopated drum beat followed by an electric guitar, synths and a melodic bass. The ear-catching bass is a feature we will hear on all of the tracks and we could not get enough of it. The title track, ‘Uneasy’ is a song that features a rhythmic bass, guitars, drums and keys galore! The vocals are inviting and vulnerable at times which adds an extra charm to the EP.
‘Nobody Else’ sees chords dart from major to minor and the add-on of a female vocal adds an extra divine layer to the piece. ‘Getting My Own Place’ is a relatable song with a beautiful keys solo. It captured our imagination and held it blissfully. The final song ‘Reliable’ is again engaging and catching. It is an upbeat end to the EP and it left us wanted more!
Golden Idols are a supremely talented band who have a big future ahead of them. Recorded by Don Farwell at Earwig Studios in Seattle Washington and mastered by Adam Straney at Breakpoint Mastering, ‘Uneasy’ is a fine collection of tunes. Each of the songs has its own personality and groove but they come together to make one amazing work of art.
So make sure you check out this divine release today, it is a cracker of an EP!
