Twin Lakes has released their 10 track album, ‘In The Valley’. It is a masterclass in composition and song execution – a thrilling listen from the beginning to the end!
We adored the title track ‘In The Valley’, for its beautiful harmonies, stunning musicianship, and textured sound. ‘Devil Will Comfort Me’ has a rock feel with electrifying guitar riffs and staccato beats. ‘Other Peoples Beds’ evolves before the listeners’ ears, accompanied by thrilling chordal progressions. ‘Sun Always Rises’ features emotional vocals surrounded by reverb and heartfelt lyrics.
Twin Lakes say, “The album explores themes of loneliness and solitude, capturing both the pain and the glory of being alone after experiencing heartbreak.” This will resonate with a lot of people and it is one of the big draws of the record.
Comprised of band members, Robert John Baune (Vocals and Guitar), Judah Smith (Bass) and Alex Ortberg (Drums), Twin Lakes are a very special and exciting band. In addition, Charlie Burket provided session violin while Blake Bonde added session cello and upright bass. The album was beautifully recorded, mixed and mastered by Alex Ortberg at Blue Lagoon Recording Room in Rochester, MN. Together, they have created a piece of art that is innovative and exciting. Their driving melodies and rich harmonies let this record fly high and it is an album that needs to be heard to be fully appreciated.
