The super artist, A Kind of Man (AKA Bjørn Rosenquist), is back with his latest self titled EP. He has curated five tracks that are hard-hitting and purposeful.
‘Teddy Love’ opens the EP with a melodic guitar. Drums and bass create a solid foundation and infectious melodies engulf the song. We love A Kind of Man’s vocal range that is fully on show and the subtle synths in the background add colour too.
The second song, ‘Franceen’, is a track we were lucky enough to write about when it was released as the second and latest single from the album. Acclaimed artist Nicolai Bruun has made an animation video for the song. A Kind of Man describes ‘Franceen’ as “An androgynous figure who represents the offbeat emotions in the song.” Check out what we thought here.
The title track, ‘A Kind Of Man’ has a great groove and imposing guitars. ‘Flip’ is an anthem of a song and it has a music video being released in February 2020. Finally, ‘Crow’s Feet’ features stripped back instrumentation that lets the character of the song shine.
A Kind of Man provided the vocals and all of the instruments on the EP. Production was executed by Julian Winding & A Kind of Man. The mix is by Julian Winding & A Kind of Man too and the mastering on the EP has been perfected by Emil Thomsen. Together, the group have created a great EP that does justice to all of the tracks.
So make sure you check out this exciting artist this weekend. A Kind of Man is an artist who is just starting to stretch his creative wings, and we can not wait to see how his career will continue to progress.
