Feline and Strange have released their compelling latest single, ‘Inappropriate’. It is an addictive listen that will have you reaching for the repeat button.
A staccato beginning greets the listener before the formidable vocals enter. Darting synths and a cello provide the intriguing foundation for the vocals to spring from. We adore the feel of the piece; it is music with a message and Feline and Strange need to be heard!
Feline and Strange are comprised of band members, Feline Lang (Songwriting, vocals, piano, synth, ukulele), Christoph Klemke (cello, percussion), and Rah Hell (drums). They come together to make extremely compelling music. Opera singer Feline Lang injects her unique and captivating personality on the single from the get-go, and we can not get enough of it!
There is also an album entitled ‘Trigger Warning’ to come from this superb band. They say, “(It is) Feline & Strange’s most political album so far. It is heart-wrenching. Furious, tragic, sometimes sarcastically silly. It is feminist. No. Humanist. It is depressing and disturbing, just as the world is these days.” They continue, “The work is also deeply connected to Taylor ́s coming out as a trans woman. After a nearly lethal fight against society, expectations, and work-related prejudice, she opened up to Feline as literally the first person on the world besides her partner, less than two months before preproduction in Berlin was scheduled. She kept saying: ‘I must remember this album is not about me.’ And Feline kept responding: ‘It is. It ́s about everyone.'” We are so excited to hear the album and are excited to see a band using their platform to highlight and aid change.
So make sure you add ‘Inappropriate’ to your weekday listening. Feline and Strange are destined for big things, and we can not wait to hear what they will do next.
