Fellow Feeling – ‘Dig’
Hailing from Nassau County, Fellow Feeling is an alternative-rock band whose latest single ‘Dig’ is a classic in the making.
Firstly, a luscious electric guitar opens the song before a driving beat, and emotive vocals kick in. The chorus is catchy with memorable melodies and textured instrumentation.
The second verse echos the instrumentation of the first verse, and this leads to another compelling chorus. The rise and fall in the instrumentation give colour to the piece and makes ‘Dig’ stand out from the crowd.
Fellow Feeling says about the release, “Dig” is a song about codependency written through the lens of seeing another person in a struggle you’ve overcome and trying your hardest to help them find a way out.” They continue, “This song is a commentary on the harm we can cause ourselves fighting too hard to save others. This is our most high-energy single from our upcoming full-length record, and we could not be more excited for you to hear it.”
The band are comprised of members, Michael LaRocco (Lead Guitar), Ryan Albrecht (Lead Vocals, Rhythm Guitar) Chris Prestamo (Drums, Keyboards), and Dan LaRocco (Bass Guitar). They are all excellent musicians and work cohesively as a band.
Fellow Feeling began playing with each other in a church band and have gone from strength to strength ever since. They were all touring musicians working for bands such as 32 Pints, Dearly Departed, and many more. They wanted to create a project that was centred around, and creating something more unique that they truly believe in.
So make sure you add ‘Dig’ to your weekend playlist. Fellow Feeling is just getting started, and we look forward to hearing what they will do next.
