Zaretti – ‘Better Days’

Zaretti is a musician/producer hailing from Detroit. His latest single ‘Better Days’ is a synth-pop classic in the making.

A warm, atmospheric opening greets the listener. We hear a stoic piano enter, and it paves the way for Zaretti’s charming vocals to take over and guide the piece along.

The stunning layered instrumentation creates a solid foundation for the lyrics to shine through. We adore the relatable nature of ‘Better Days’, it connects with the listener, and this is a big part of Zaretti’s charm. He is able to communicate with the audience, and because of this, we are sure ‘Better Days’ will win him an army of new fans.

We love the mix, master and production of the single. The use of spoken word samples have been executed superbly, and each part of the varied instrumentation has its own space in the mix.

Comments

Zaretti says, “(‘Better Days’) is written about the anxiety and confusion following a sudden and unexpected breakup. It’s about finding yourself in the unknown, lacking any clarity or closure, and trying to figure out what happens next.”

Zaretti records and produces his music in his basement home studio. Citing his influences as artists such as Bon Iver, Frank Ocean, John Mayer, and EDEN, we can hear them coming through in the music. However, make no mistake, Zaretti is making classic music all of his own.

This superb musician has spent years honing his craft and finding his own sound. He has a degree in engineering and has continued growing his skill set since.

So make sure you add ‘Better Days’ to your weekday playlist. Zaretti is an artist who is just getting started, and we look forward to hearing what he will do next.
