Brian Casey the Destroyer – ‘American Carnage’

Hailing from Minneapolis, Brian Casey the Destroyer has released the excellent album ‘American Carnage’, in January 2021. It is a classic rock release that will have you reaching for the repeat button.

The title track opens the release and is instantly attention-grabbing from the get-go. The driving rhythm section and synths fill the sonic spectrum with colour and texture. It is a wonderful opening to a special album.

We enjoyed ‘Don the Con’, its laid back groove is compelling. The funk style guitars, rhythm section and layered vocals all work together to create a harmonious and enticing vibe.

‘Twenty Twenty’ is a mysterious track that will have the listener reaching for the button. It is equal parts intriguing and charming. ‘Sleepy Joe’ hears a change in genre with a beautiful acoustic guitar, and a country feel. It leaves the listener wanting more!

Brian Casey the Destroyer says about the release, “Symbolically released on Inauguration Day (1/20/2021), four years to the day Trump gave his American Carnage speech in front of the US Capitol, ‘American Carnage’ is a dark album telling the tale of four grim years of true American carnage under the incompetent and corrupt leadership of the Trump administration.”

Marking a period in history, this album needs to be heard to be fully appreciated. We are sure that it will stand the test of time and it will be listened to repeatedly over the years to come.
