Kyrre Bjørdal Sæther is a singer/songwriter based in Norway. We have had the pleasure to review his latest single ‘All This Time’ and we must say – it is a fantastic reintroduction to this seasoned artist!

‘All This time’ is pop in nature with a beautiful and soulful vocal performance accompanied by lyrics layered with depth and an honest relate-ability. Sæther’s vocals are the shining star in this beautiful piece of work. Reminiscent of George Michael in tone, they are smooth, comforting and reflective throughout. The use of reverb and delay on the track are both skilfully applied and are perfect in creating texture and interest.

The electronic instrumentation makes ‘All this time feel’ more on the euro pop side of the genre spectrum. It would be a perfect entry for Norway during the Eurovision Song Contest season and a dance floor filler anytime. We especially liked the instrumental break where there are distorted vocals taking the listener on an unexpected journey and then resolving in the familiar chorus. These unexpected changes are what sets Sæther’s work apart from the rest of the crowd. The melody in the chorus in particular is incredibly catchy – we warn you, this song will be stuck in your head all day!

From the heart hitting beginning to the sustained percussion adding the back bone and catchy melody, to the gentle fade out at the end, ‘All This Time’ is a crowd pleaser with an added layered depth.

We can’t wait to hear what comes next from this exciting artist!
