Bits of Alan – ‘Cooking Barefoot’
Hailing from Philadelphia, Bits of Alan have released their sublime single ‘Cooking Barefoot’, in January 2021. It is a great single that needs to be heard!
A gentle opening greets the listener before an energetic acoustic guitar breaks through. The charismatic vocals enter and masterfully guide the single along. We adore the story-telling nature of the lyrics, which features terrific cadences. It is a heartfelt song that touches the audience.
As the band kicks in, the single is in full flow. The harmonies add further texture and colour to the piece too. We found the chorus to be memorable and ‘Cooking Barefoot’ is a song which will have the listener reaching for the repeat button.

Bits of Alan are comprised of band members Greg Golbitz, Fred Keller, Ethan Stauffer, and Joe Venango (of Everloft Studios). In addition, ‘Cooking Barefoot’ features Jacob Bracey of the band Jake Bracey and the Mountain Laurels. Together, the team has created an enticing single that will please existing Bits of Alan fans while simultaneously winning them an army of new ones too.
Forthcoming Album
We are so excited to see that ‘Cooking Barefoot’ is the second single to be taken from a forthcoming album by this brilliant band. ‘Slatland’ is due for release in 2021 and we can not wait for it to drop!
Previously, the band have released an EP and a full album. We thoroughly recommend checking out their back catalogue too; we know we will!
