Conrad Deadly – ‘Sally Lives in My Girls Yard’

Hailing from Whitby, Conrad Deadly AKA Conrad Leadley, is a well-seasoned musician. His superb debut single, ‘Sally Lives in My Girls Yard’ is a beauty of a track.

A vibrant and rhythmic acoustic guitar opens the release. Conrad Deadly’s engaging vocals kick in, and the song’s energetic nature shine through. There is a punk feel in Conrad Deadly’s vocal performance, filled with passion and attitude. A melodic harmonica appears, and the folk vibe continues.

The instrumentation grows in layers and once the percussion, extra guitars and layered vocals enter the single is in full flow. A singalong part ensues, and the joyous, uplifting melody is present. We adored the electric guitars in the outro too. ‘Sally Lives in My Girls Yard’ is a song with attitude and heart; it is destined to have you reaching for the repeat button.

Conrad says about ‘Sally Lives in My Girls Yard’ “(It’s) my debut release, after playing guitar in bands around the world and partying too much and well, to be frank, being A wasteman. A year after recovery, things have started to fall into place with releases lined up for the rest of the year.” Conrad continues, “(My) musical roots are firmly embedded in punk, Britpop and folk that fusion together with a warm, fuzzy yet rapturous balance that enable the strong underlying messages of rebellion and hope to echo through.”

As well as an excellent musician, Conrad is also an internationally acclaimed model. Make sure you check out ‘Sally Lives in My Girls Yard’ from the link below. This is just the start for Conrad Deadly, and we can not wait to hear the set of releases he has lined up!
