Crux – ‘Radgie Gadgie’

Hailing from Newcastle upon Tyne, Crux has released the must-hear single ‘Radgie Gadgie’. It is a ska release that is filled with a lot of heart and one that you do not want to miss this Winter!

A bright and punchy opening greets the listener. Then, as the memorable riff kicks in, Crux demands the audience’s attention. We adore the precise rhythm section that keeps the single feeling tight.

Moreover, as the relatable and intriguing lyrics sing out, Crux fills the sonic spectrum with vivid colour. The excellent storytelling paints a detailed picture for the listener, taking the track on unexpected twists and turns.

Also, we love the mix, master and production of ‘Radgie Gadgie’. There is a warmth in the punchy vibe that sets the song alight. ‘Radgie Gadgie’ is a single that needs to be heard to be fully appreciated.

Comments

Crux says about this latest single, “Radgie Gadgie is Geordie slang for ‘Aggressive Man’. Technically, this is our most complex and fast-paced song to date.” They continue, “‘Radgie Gadgie’ is a grim tale of toxic masculinity and trauma; the instrumentals create a sonic pantomime with inspiration from Edvard Grieg’s ‘In The Hall of the Mountain King’.”
