London-based artist Domax has released the exciting, must-hear EP, ‘Volca’. It is a brilliant alt-rock-pop release you need to know about this February.

‘Volca’ opens the release with an energetic and enticing beginning. Instantly, the addictive melodies draw the listener in and hold our attention effortlessly. We adore the vibrant backing instrumentation that injects luscious colour into the piece.

‘Das’ takes the EP in a new direction while maintaining an inviting vibe. Moreover, ‘Run’ is a standout track with a warm production that draws the listener in.

Domax cites his influences as coming from artists such as Kraftwerk, Apex Twin, Squarepusher, Neu, The Yellow Magic Orchestra and the Cocteau Twins. We can hear these muses coming through on this exciting release but make no mistake, Domax is making music all his own.

In addition, Domax is the co-founder of the record label Jam International. He is also a session musician; he has worked with artists such as Sister Sledge, Incognito, Emeli Sandé, and Maverick Sabre. We are thrilled to have heard Domax’s solo work. He is a dynamic and exciting talent who makes exhilarating music that sets him apart from the crowd.

Prolific

One thing is for sure, Domax is a prolific talent. Previously he has released 4 EPs and a single, and after hearing ‘Volca’, we can not wait to listen to his previous releases too.
