Gatsby – ‘Seasonal Changes In A Mundane World’

Gatsby is a sensational rock band hailing from Denmark. Their latest album, ‘Seasonal Changes In A Mundane World’, was released in January 2022, and it puts the band as ones to watch in 2022.

‘Damned If You Do’ opens the release to an addictive song with driving instrumentation and a catchy chorus. We love the charismatic vocals that masterfully guide the single along.

‘What’s Your Problem’ is a standout song with layered and intelligently arranged instrumentation. We adore the layered vocals that add vivid colour to the piece.

We love ‘Keep On Walking’; the opening hook is memorable and stays with the listener after the music has ended. ‘Dirt Fever’ features punchy drums and magnetic guitars; it’s an addictive track. Finally, ‘Cold Stares’ closes the release and leaves the audience reaching for the repeat button.

Gatsby comprises of band members Kevin Ian Miller, Pelle Kristiansen, Kim Olsen, and Jesper Wurtz. It is clear that they are excellent musicians separately, but magic happens when they play together.

The band say about this latest release, “Our third album is a move towards good old fashioned rock and roll; there is a nod to 80’s synths sounds, a taste of 70’s guitar riffing and even hints of 60’s melodies.” They continue, “But it is 100% rock.”
