HOL – ‘The Chapters’
Blackpool-based artist HOL has released the superb album ‘The Chapters’ this 2021. It is a dream-pop release that is filled with heart.
‘Seasons (The Quest Chapter: lost)’ opens the release. Melodic synths fill the sonic spectrum. HOL’s soulful and enticing vocals take the reins of the single. We adore the laid back vibe of the track. The layered vocals are wonderful and inject their unique colour into the song.
We loved ‘No Doubt (The Lonely Chapter : oblivion)’; the driving drums and melody draw the audience in and hold their attention effortlessly. ‘NYC (The Answer Chapter: epiphany) features HOL’s trademark layered vocals which she executes superbly. Her exquisite range is also on display, simply wonderful! ’21st Century Teen (The Dawn Chapter: petrichor) closes the album and leaves the listener wanting more!
HOL says about the release, “The concept was to cover the journey of a young teen as they move into the adult world. Each chapter has a title that shows the stage of awakening and experience.”
Diverse Artist
HOL is a diverse and exciting artist who is destined to do significant things in 2021. Not only did she write, perform and produce ‘The Chapters’, she also designed the artwork too.
HOL has done an excellent job in creating a body of work that will stand the test of time and sets her as an artist to watch in the 2020s. We will be watching with great anticipation to see what she will do next.
So make sure ‘The Chapters’ is on your must-hear music list this week. HOL is a musician who is going from strength to strength and needs to be heard!
