Hi JAYQ THE LEGEND, Tell us about yourself?

I am a coffee addict, sleep addict, and music addict.

What is your songwriting process?

Mindfulness. Learning the process of living mindfully from Buddhist monks unlocked a bottomless pit of lyrical inspiration, and the awareness to see the sparks.

Tell us about your latest release?

‘Amazing Girl’, my latest release is a song about the women and girls who nurture and inspire us. They are amazing, and we need to honor amazing girls for their intellect, strength and love.

What message do you think your music conveys to your fans?

My music is fun and uptempo. My lyrics are designed to connect women and men. I affirm that we can work it out and have fun because whatever divides us is smaller than what we all have in common on this planet.

Who are your non-musical influences?

Non-musical influences; I Like Lebron James. He is a force of nature in basketball, strong work and family ethics, never quits.

What’s the best gig that you have ever played?

Best Gig In Cannes, France, on the Beach last year when we were normal. It’s all documented in my award-winning ‘It Could Be You’ video.

What is your funniest gig moment?

We were shooting a video for my upcoming Christmas movie. It was supposed to be like a live gig kind of thing in the movie; The App That Stole Christmas, I went onto the wrong set. NO ONE WAS THERE.

What do you think are the biggest obstacles for bands/artists today?

Focus and egos.

What advice would you give to other bands/artists starting out?

Stay focused, and be humble.

What are your hopes for the next two years?

In the next two years, I want to tour non-stop, Europe, Asia, Africa, North America, all over the world.
