MICKY – ‘Northstar’
Hailing from New York, musician MICKY has released the brilliant synth-pop single ‘Northstar’ in August 2020. It is an addictive song that is a wonderful introduction to this formidable artist.
‘Northstar’ is instantly filled with colour and texture. It is hard-hitting from the get-go and immediately entices the listener. We love the layered instrumentation which is engaging, varied and proves the perfect backdrop for MICKY’s stunning vocals to shine.
MICKY’s vocals effortlessly guide the single along. Lyrically he is relatable, and this is a big part of his charm. MICKY connects with his audience and makes us feel less alone together. We love the chorus, which is catchy and memorable. Also, the percussion provides texture to the piece and makes for a unique and intoxicating listen.

This superb artist has had music placed on TNT’s ‘Animal Kingdom’. In addition, he has started the independent record label and management company, Northstar Records. They work with cause-driven talent, and we look forward to hearing the releases which come from them too. Micky enjoys A&R consulting on the side and recently signed emerging soul singer/rapper Wiley from Atlanta to Downtown Records.
