Munk Duane – ‘My Fellow Americans’

Boston-based musician Munk Duane has released the addictive single ‘My Fellow Americans’. It is an R&B release that will have you reaching for the repeat button this April.

An attention-grabbing opening greets the listener before the funky groove breaks through and takes the reins of the song. We adore the intelligent chordal progressions which carry the track forward.

In addition, the instrumentation has a wonderful rise and fall that keeps the track feeling fresh. Moreover, the chorus is catchy and stays with the listener long after the music has ended.

Also, the middle eight takes the single in a fresh direction, keeping the listener on their toes. Furthermore, the lyrics are thought-provoking and carry a message we need to hear. ‘My Fellow Americans’ is a single that you do not want to miss.

Steve Davis/Brian Lucey

In addition, Munk Duane has been joined by bassist Steve Davis, and the song was mastered by Brian Lucey (Lizzo, Post Malone, The Black Keys) at Magic Garden Mastering, Los Angeles. Together the team have crafted a super release that will stand the test of time.

Munk Duane says about the release, “There are forces that are tirelessly and relentlessly working to pit us against each other in 2023 America, and they are succeeding.” He continues, “The new song is a call to place love for our commonalities ahead of our differences and to resist the wedge that those with self-serving agendas, with no regard for the societal and generational fall-out, would drive between us.”

Film Composer

Munk Duane is also a superb film composer whose material has been licensed to hundreds of television and film productions. These include Hulu’s Pam & Tommy, The 70th Annual Tony Awards, The Late Show With Stephen Colbert, Hawaii Five-O, 60 Minutes, NCIS and Blue Bloods, and The Sopranos.
