Piper King – ‘October Sun’
Hailing from Long Beach, musician Piper King has released the magnificent single ‘October Sun’ in 2021. It is a dream-pop release that needs to be heard this February!
An enticing electric guitar and punchy drums open the release. As Piper King’s atmospheric vocals enter, the single is in full flow. We adore the inviting nature of the track, which draws the audience in.
The layered vocals add texture to the piece, and the layered instrumentation creates a luscious colour too. We adore the chorus, which is memorable with a catchy melody that stays with the listener.
In addition, the mix, master and production of ‘October Sun’ is excellent. Piper King has released a single which will please existing fans while simultaneously winning her an army of new ones too!
King says about the release, “Changing your personal world when the world around you is already changing rapidly and uncontrollably— that is what is highlighted in my single ‘October Sun’.”
She continues, “It was inspired by my move from Colorado back to California just before the pandemic hit. I thought I hated living in CO, as I was so eager to get back to my Cali roots and friends. But after months of pushing away these feelings, I was soon shaken by the sunshine in October, reminding me of the amazing place and people I left behind.”
