‘Daydreaming’ is the stunning latest single by singer-songwriter Qeaux Qeaux Joans hailing from Amsterdam, and the Berlin-based producer LAUTMALR.
Atmospheric synths with a warm underlying crackle open the release. Qeaux Qeaux Joans’s warm and inviting vocals masterfully orchestrates the direction of the single. We love the big inspiring chorus. It is moving and filled with luscious melodies, heart and soul.
Lyrically, ‘Daydreaming’ is accessible and relatable. This is a big part of the single’s charm; it will resonate with a lot of people. Brutally honest lyrics such as, “You were nothing but my rebound,” strike the listener and stay with them long after the music has finished.
The production on the single is excellent. Each of the instruments has their own space in the song to shine. Yet they still come together to work harmoniously. The production further highlights the quality in the songwriting, and each part has been executed to the highest quality.
The duo says, “The making of the video for this song was planned in March, as the COVID-19 lockdown happened.
