Hailing from New Jersey, musician Scxtty has released the excellent EP ‘Life Through Roses’. It is an indie-rock release that will have you reaching for the repeat button this February.

‘Supernova’ opens the release with an upbeat, melodic song that instantly draws the listener in. We adore the catchy melodies and textured instrumentation, and warm, punchy production.

In addition, ‘I Don’t Think You Love Me’ is a standout song. The relatable lyrics and driving instrumentation demand the listener’s attention and fill the sonic spectrum with vivid colour.

Moreover, ‘Baseball Cards’ takes the EP in a fresh direction with a broody vibe, intelligent arrangement and charismatic vocals. Finally, the title track closes the EP with a heartfelt song, leaving the listener wanting even more. ‘Life Through Roses’ is a brilliant EP that needs to be heard.

Scxtty says about the release, “‘Life Through Roses’, is about finding closure within a relationship. It’s often hard to find that closure with the other person, especially when you don’t want to talk to them, so I guess I found it through the past years of working on myself and growing older.” He continues, “The song speaks my story and the difficulties of moving on but reassuring yourself that it is okay to move on.”
