Strangely Alright – ‘Maybe If’
Hailing from Tacoma, Strangely Alright is a rock-band whose latest single, ‘Maybe If’ is a classic in the making!
From an atmospheric opening, a gorgeously picked guitar breaks through. The full band sound soon enters too, and the single is in full flow. We adore the opening harmonies which set the scene beautifully as to what is to come. The bass is melodic and driving, while the drums carry the song along.
In addition, we also enjoyed the mix, master and production of the single. Each part of the layered instrumentation has its own space in the mix and shines beautifully. The lyrics are compelling and the enticing nature of the song shines through.
Strangely Alright say about the release, “In an age where the world moves faster and faster, and consumption of information and art happens in smaller and shorter increments, we have learned that slowing down and letting music or art sink in with longer sessions has a way of centring us and helping us see more clearly where we are at and where we are going.” They continue, “This is what works for us. Our new single ‘Maybe If’ continues our atmospheric vision of extended compositions, sonic experimentation and philosophical lyrics.”

Strangely Alright is comprised of excellent musicians separately; however, when they come together, magic happens! We are so pleased to see ‘Maybe If’ is one of a collection of songs that are due to be released on vinyl in early 2021. Keep checking the band’s website for further details.
