Crash World – ‘So The Story Goes’
Hailing from Vancouver, Crash World is a duo that needs to be heard this Summer. Their debut album ‘So The Story Goes’ is an Americana masterpiece that hits straight at the heart of its listeners.
‘Lucky One’ opens the release to a gorgeous string arrangement, acoustic guitar and charismatic vocal performance. We adore the laid-back vibe that draws the audience in.
‘Solsbury Hill’ is a standout song with a gorgeously Travis-picked acoustic guitar and percussive backing instrumentation. ‘Before & After’ harks back to a time gone by with warm production and attractive melodies.
‘Millionaire’ is a standout song. We adore the memorable melodies and fantastic guitar work. In addition, Crash World’s rendition of ‘Sympathy for the Devil’ is a brilliant take on a much-loved song. Finally, ‘Cross Road Blues’ closes the release and leaves the listener reaching for the repeat button.
Crash World is comprised of band members Glen MacLeod and Graham MacDonald. They are both excellent musicians, but when they come together, magic happens!
Crash World says about this latest release, “As a duo, we were able to work with some of the best musicians and producers in Vancouver to help fully realize Crash World’s music on a lush, grand scale.” They continue, “We have let many genres and artists into our consciousness and allowed them to influence and flourish across the album.”
‘So The Story Goes’ is a magnificent release, and it is one of the prime reasons we hope the album never dies. Each of the fifteen tracks has been carefully crafted and arranged to work on their own, but when you listen to the album as a whole, the music transcends to another level.
So set an hour aside and turn the volume up. ‘So The Story Goes’ is a release you need to hear this Summer! Add it to your weekend playlist today!
