David Moore – ‘Seventeen’
Hailing from Knox City, musician David Moore has released the stunning must-hear album ‘Seventeen’. It is an alt-country release that will have you reaching for the repeat button this February.
‘Westridge House Stomp’ opens the release with an engaging and catchy song that draws the listener in and holds our attention effortlessly. In addition, ‘Ice Fog’ opens to a catchy riff, and the luscious instrumentation fills the sonic spectrum with luscious colour.
We enjoyed ‘Outbound’; it takes the album in a new direction with charming vocals and an intelligent arrangement. Moreover, ‘I Owe It To You’ is a stand-out song with a formidable groove and addictive guitar solos.
Finally, ‘Flying Frisbee Clap’ closes the release and leaves the listener wanting even more! ‘Seventeen’ is an album that needs to be heard to be fully appreciated!
Moore says about his music, “This is my first album after taking 17 years off from music to raise a family. All songs are written by me except the song Powder Run, and I had musician friends play some of the parts.”
He continues, “I recorded, produced and mixed the entire album. I consider my music to be loosely based on folk rock. However, I cross over into pop, blues, progressive country, and even some ambient instrumentals.”
