De Antiquis Et Novis – ‘Afterglow’

Munich-based artist De Antiquis Et Novis has released the stunning ambient-electronic album ‘Afterglow’. It is a release that you do not want to miss this Summer.

The title track, ‘Afterglow’, opens the release and gorgeous keys set the scene for what is to come. Then, as the beat drops, the listener is fully engaged. We adore the atmospheric instrumentation and addictive vocals.

‘Calm’ is a standout song. The soulful vocals reach out and touch the audience, and as the delay kicks in, a wonderful texture shows itself. Moreover, the stoic beat feels like the track’s heartbeat.

‘Bruises’ fills the sonic spectrum with vivid colour while the lyrics resonate with the audience. In addition, ‘Deep Blue Ocean’ is a moving piece that evolves before the listener. Simply superb!

De Antiquis Et Novis says about this excellent release, “With this album I wanted to bring calming music to the listeners, you can listen to after a hectic day of work and the next best thing to be sitting on a beach watching the sunset – hence the album name ‘Afterglow’.” Objective achieved!

De Antiquis Et Novis cites his influences as coming from artists such as Christopher von Deylen, Schiller, Blank & Jones, Jean Michel Jarre, Tangerine Dream, and Pink Floyd. We can hear these muses coming through on ‘Afterglow’ but make no mistake; De Antiquis Et Novis is making music all his own!

Matthias Schorer

De Antiquis Et Novis (AKA Matthias Schorer) has completed this superb release’s composition, production, engineering, and synthesizers. He has done an excellent job in creating a body of work that will stand the test of time.

So, add ‘Afterglow’ to your new music playlist this week. De Antiquis Et Novis is a multitalented artist, and we can not wait to hear what he will do next.
