Divine Hand Ensemble – ‘Aria 51’

Philadelphia-based band Divine Hand Ensemble has released the must-hear album ‘Aria 51’. It is a superb release that needs to be on your new music playlist this December 2022.

‘Peaches en Regalia’ opens the release and instantly fills the sonic spectrum with vivid colour. The addictive melodies are spellbinding and set the scene as to what is to come.

In addition, we adore ‘Man Who Sold the World’. The addictive melodies are underpinned by gorgeous instrumentation, and the intelligent arrangement shines through.

Moreover, ‘La vie en rose’ is a beautiful track that we were very moved by. The stunning melodies are captivating and take the listener back to a time gone by.

Also, ‘Ghost Town’ is a stunning cover. With the passing of Special’s frontman Terry Hall recently, it is a wonderful version and an unwitting tribute of a much-loved song. ‘Aria 51’ is an album that needs to be heard!

Divine Hand Ensemble says about the release, “‘Aria 51’ is a sci-fi musical journey, the new sound of classical music that pushes the boundaries of the crossover genre.”

They continue, “The release features the ethereal, other-worldly sounds of the theremin as a diva and covers songs from Bowie, Zappa, Queen, and The Specials as well as Andrew Lloyd-Webber, Edith Piaf, Rimsky-Korsakov and others.”

Mano Divina Giannon

Concert thereminist Mano Divina Giannone leads Divine Hand Ensemble. The excellent musicianship shines through, and the whole album is alive with electric energy that reaches out and touches the listener.

We are thrilled to have heard ‘Aria 51’ and can not recommend Divine Hand Ensemble highly enough! ‘Aria 51’ is a unique, innovative and dynamic release that strikes the hearts of its audience.

We can not wait to hear what Divine Hand Ensemble will do in 2023. Until then, ‘Aria 51’ is available to stream from the link below today; enjoy!
