Eccentric Gentlemen – ‘Chapter of Another Book’
Hailing from Raleigh, Eccentric Gentlemen have released their brilliant indie-rock album ‘Chapter of Another Book’. It is a release that you do not want to miss this Summer!
‘Forest Mind’ opens the release with teasing guitars which quickly evolve into a catchy and addictive full band sound.
We adore ‘How To Forget’; it is an upbeat and driving song with compelling instrumentation. The intelligently composed guitar riffs draw the listener in with their warm yet unpredictable vibe.
In addition, ‘Upstaged’ is filled with texture and fills the sonic spectrum with vivid colour. It is a pulsating song which will have the listener reaching for the repeat button.
‘Another Day’ is an upbeat and inviting song that effortlessly holds the listener’s attention. Finally, ‘Green Thumb’ closes the release and leaves the audience wanting more!
Eccentric Gentlemen say about this superb release, “The main focus thematically of the album is paths to growth, acknowledgement of shortcomings, attempts to better oneself and the situation around you without turning a blind eye to the negativity that also exists.”
Eccentric Gentlemen are comprised of band members Ryan Taverna -vocals, guitars, keys and Aaron Starr – guitars, drums, bass, synths, and vocals. They are both clearly excellent musicians in their respective rights, but magic happens when they come together!
In addition, Starr produced the album, and the duo have created a body of work that will stand the test of time!
The band cites their influences as coming from artists such as The Beatles, Nirvana, and Leonard Cohen. We can hear these muses coming through on ‘Chapter of Another Book’ but make no mistake; Eccentric Gentlemen are making music all of their own!
So make sure you add ‘Chapter of Another Book’ to your new music playlist this week. Eccentric Gentlemen are an exciting band from which we can not wait to hear more!
