Eleanor Collides – ‘People Are Taller In Real Life’
‘People Are Taller In Real Life’ is the stunning latest album from London based artist Eleanor Collides. It is a brilliant ten-track album release that will have you reaching for the repeat button.
‘Pennies’ opens the release to a calming nature-filled vibe. Gorgeous guitars swim into the sonic spectrum before an enticing rock sound emerges. We adore the honest lyrics and punchy production of the song.
We love ‘Silent Room’, which has an addictive vibe, and the driving rhythm section shines as the track’s heartbeat. In addition, ‘Broken’ is filled with rich melodies and heartfelt lyrics.
‘Getting Out’ is a standout song. It is the last but one song on the album and features a dark and brooding vibe with layered vocals and gorgeous guitar riffs. Finally, ‘Driving Away’ closes the release and leaves the audience wanting more!
Eleanor Collides is the brainchild of musician Nick Ranga. Ranga began this solo project in March 2021, and ‘People Are Taller In Real Life’ sees collaboration with musicians Lucy Butler – Vocals, Pisgah – Vocals, and Jenni Grossmann – Vocals, Violin. Together the team have created a stunning piece of art that is a must-hear release this Summer.
Ranga says about this album release, “The songs on ‘People Are Taller In Real Life’ are quite personal in nature. A lot of these songs draw on my experiences with anxiety and depression. This is most evident on the song ‘Fragments and Shadows’ which is my attempt to put into music how depression and anxiety felt for me.”
Eleanor Collides is a solo project that we can not wait to hear more from! Nick Ranga is a troubadour of the highest calibre, and we look forward to hearing what he will do next.
Until then, ‘People Are Taller In Real Life’ is available to stream from the link below; enjoy!
