GATED ESTATES – ‘Gated Estates’

Hailing from Hay on Wye, GATED ESTATES have released the must-hear self-titled album ‘Gated Estates’. It is an indie-rock release that you do not want to miss this August.

‘Bridge’ opens the release to an atmospheric beginning and wonderfully sets the scene for what will come. ‘A Letter’ instantly demands the listener’s attention; the pulsating beat and addictive melodies draw us in and take us on a journey.

In addition, ‘High Hopes’ is a standout track fuelled by an innovative sound, intelligent arrangement and thought-provoking lyrics. Moreover, ‘Hey Robot’ takes the album in a fresh direction, keeping the listener on their toes.

Also, ‘Bloodlines’ features an uncomfortable but intriguing opening that soon evolves into a classic track. Finally, ‘Locked by Promise’ closes the release and will have you reaching for the repeat button.

GATED ESTATES say about the release, “The ten tracks lyrically explore life under the weight of division and the relentless compartmentalising of opinion.” They continue, “Melody and structure presented in innovative yet familiar fashion. In addition, GATED ESTATES have worked with Shane Dixon (Nick Parker, Ginger Wildheart, The Sinners), Jonathan Morgan (OCTO-PI), and Rose Linn-Pearl (Peiriant) on the release.

Furthermore, ‘Gated Estates’ has been superbly mastered by Sam Grant & Nick Burchall, and the artwork is by Max Lilley @ Bite Design. Together, the team have crafted a body of work that will stand the test of time.
