Hoodooleen – ‘Maybe’

Hailing from Croatia, Hoodooleen has released the brilliant single ‘Maybe’, in August 2020. It is an acoustic-jazz single with a lot of heart.

Hoodooleen’s stunning vocals open the release. They are filled with charm and character and captivate the listener effortlessly. His vocal performance is simply stunning. An atmospheric piano accompanies the vocals, and together they fill the sonic spectrum.

The track moves up a gear, and as the tempo increases so does the intensity. We love the stripped back nature to the single; it lets the song shine in the light in which it was written.

‘Maybe’ has been superbly composed, arranged and executed. Hoodooleen is a talented musician who is making waves with this latest release.

The artist says about making music, “The piano was there from the start. I remember it just like you would remember an old sofa from your childhood; it was an essential, elemental part of my life.” He continues, “Playing and singing became my way of breaking the silence, of finding my own voice within that small space, of wanting to not just be an island. But to invite the world in, to feel free of the borders, real or imaginary.”

Hoodooleen (AKA Robert James Hudulin) is an artist with a big future. Hoodooleen was born out of Hudulin’s previous band disbanding. We are so pleased to hear him releasing music as a solo artist and feel that he is just getting started.

We can not recommend this excellent musician enough. He is an innovative and driven artist who is making waves with this latest release. We very much look forward to hearing what he will do next. Until then, ‘Maybe’ is available from the link below.
