‘HYSTERIA’ – Joe Deninzon & Stratospheerius

Joe Deninzon & Stratospheerius are a 4 piece progressive rock, jazz fusion, and funkabilly band hailing from New York. They are made up of Joe Deninzon (electric violin/lead/vocals/mandolin), Aurelien Budynek (guitar/backup vocals), Jamie bishop (bass/backup vocals) and Lucianna Padmor (drums).

Their cover of Muse’s ‘Hysteria’ from their upcoming album, ‘Guilty of Innocence’ has been released on Melodic Revolution Records and is brilliant!

The video for the release can only be described as wonderfully bizarre! The opening 1/3 is clever and engaging with head shots of the whole band individually singing the brilliant harmonies. The song then fully kicks in with Deninzon’s voice perfectly hitting the full spectrum of Matt Bellamy’s with ease. No mean feat.

There is a wonderful seamless mix of genres, 2/3’s of the way through the song cuts to just a solo violin with a classical feel followed by the track fully kicking back into the progressive rock category.

There is no denying the excellent musicianship throughout the entire song. It is easy to see each member is a master in their respective craft.

Overall it’s a fantastic cover of a classic song, brimming with brilliant musicians on the top of their game.
