We were fortunate enough to catch up with Zhenyok Chem Brat following the brilliant release, ‘Of Your Touch‘. Enjoy our interview below!

Hi Zhenyok Chem Brat, how did you get into the music industry?

I got into music by playing basketball with knitting needles, which ended up having me become a studio drummer.

Who influenced your addictive latest release, ‘Of Your Touch’?

Influences on the release include Prince and Katy Perry.

‘Of Your Touch’ was recorded with musicians from around the globe. Can you tell us more about the recording process?

Everyone recorded their parts in their own studios except for the second singer, who recorded in my studio. I wrote, assembled, and produced everything.

‘Of Your Touch’ is a superb pop release that draws influences from Prince and Katy Perry; what draws you to the genre?

What draws me to making pop music is that I love a good, catchy pop song. It keeps me in a positive mood.

Who would you most like to collaborate with?

Lucia Chebotina is first on my list; second, maybe Shakira.

Other than music, what are you passionate about?

I am passionate about exercise and meditation, and I love going to the float spa.

What changes would you like to see in the music business?

As far as the music industry, everyone seems to teach copy other artists I tend to listen to my heart.

What would it be if you could choose one thing for fans to take away from your music?

For me, I write music to inspire people and lift them up.

Have you started working on your next release?

The next two releases are in production, both very different. The first is an EDM song I co-wrote with a top songwriter, and the other is an old-school funk song.
