JellyCopter – ‘Cease and Desist’

London-based musician JellyCopter has released the stunning album ‘Cease and Desist’. Released on Prank Monkey Records, it is a album that you do not want to miss this Autumn.

The title track opens the album, and we love the double tracked vocals that immediately take the song’s reins. The punchy production instantly draws the listener in and has us hooked!

In addition, ‘He’s a Liar’ is a standout song with thought-provoking lyrics, charismatic vocals and punchy percussion. Moreover, ‘Sacrificial Lamb’ is a track that stays with the listener long after the music has ended. The driving guitars and vocal performances are exquisite.

‘Saratoga’ takes the album in a new direction, keeping the release feeling
fresh. Finally, ‘Won’t Make The Same Mistake Twice’ closes the release
and leaves the listener wanting even more!

JellyCopter cites his influences as, “A bit of Velvet Underground paired with Alan Vega.” He describes his sound as, “Old school guitar riffs that might as well have come from the 70s or 80s.” We can certainly hear these muses coming through on ‘Cease and Desist’, but make no mistake, JellyCopter is reinventing the genre alt-rock and making music all of his own.

Rich Tapestry

We are so excited to have heard ‘Cease and Desist’. It is an album with a rich tapestry whose individual components combine to form a much bigger body of work. ‘Cease and Desist’ is one of the reasons we know that the full album release will never die. It is a piece of art that will stand the test of time.

So make sure that you add ‘Cease and Desist’ to your new music playlist this week. JellyCopter is an exciting artist, and we very much look forward to hearing what he will do in 2023.
