Jenni Dale Lord – ‘In The Dance’
Hailing from Lubbock, the Jenni Dale Lord band has released the stunning album ‘In The Dance’. It is an Americana release filled with addictive songs that need to be heard this Summer!
‘Once You Go Bourbon’ opens the release to an attention-demanding accapella beginning before the full band kicks in. We adore the memorable melody that will have you singing along in no time.
‘Better’ Things’ is a stand-out song with attitude and grit. Jenni Dale Lord’s soulful and smokey vocals sing out and take the song’s reins. In addition, ‘Love You Like You’re Leavin’ takes the album in a fresh direction with a slower pace. The relatable lyrics shine through and touch the audience.
‘Who I Used to Be’ features gorgeous chordal progressions and an intelligent arrangement. Moreover, the title track, ‘In the Dance,’ evolves before the listener, and the catchy chorus is divine.
Jenni Dale Lord says about the release, “The title track, ‘In the Dance’, is about really living, and the accompanying songs are all about life – love, happiness, sadness, anger, joy, and sheer determination.” She continues, “Making music makes me happier than anything I’ve ever done. And I get to do it every day. I’m the luckiest girl I know.”
The Jenni Dale Lord band comprises of members Jenni Dale Lord -lead vocals and acoustic guitar, Aaron Dick – keys and backing vocals, Andrew Mason – bass and backing vocals, Judson Eddins – electric guitar, and Terry Moore – drums and percussion. They are all excellent musicians, and together, they have made a body of work that will stand the test of time.
In addition, ‘In The Dance’ was recorded at Amusement Park Recording Studio in Lubbock, Texas, with the superb producer, Scott Faris. Faris has added further depths to the songs, and the tracks come together to form a cohesive body of work.
