Jim Andralis – ‘I Can’t Stop Trying’

Hailing from New York City, musician Jim Andralis has released the superb album ‘I Can’t Stop Trying’. It is an indie-folk release that strikes at the hearts of its listeners.

‘New York City Spring’ opens the release and instantly draws the listener in with warm melodies and welcoming production. In addition, ‘Take It Back’ is a stand-out song with gorgeous instrumentation and beautiful harmonies.

We adore ‘Love You’, it is complete with a bright, punchy production, relatable lyrics and textured instrumentation. The emotional vocal performances are sublime too.

Moreover, ‘Heights’ features unpredictable chordal progressions and an intelligent arrangement. Furthermore, ‘Bluest Sky’ evolves before the listener, taking us on a journey. Finally, ‘What Gets Taken’ closes the release, and it will have you reaching for the repeat button.

Comments

Jim Andralis says about the release, “It’s about isolation emotionally and physically. I’m certainly not the only person who was isolated over the last couple of years.” He continues, “I spent a lot of time thinking and adding more meaning into these songs because of the time I had.”

Tom Beaujour

Jim Andralis worked on this release with producer Tom Beaujour (Nada Surf) at Nuthouse Studios. Together, they have created a stunning body of work that will stand the test of time.
