Juan Sánchez – ‘Rebirth’

Composer Juan Sánchez released his magnificent album, ‘Rebirth’ in 2019. The nine-track album is filled with excellent compositions, beautiful arrangements and an immediate accessibility.

The title track ‘Rebirth’, opens the album to a delicately played piano. It grows in stature as the song progresses and is simply magnificent. ‘Heading to Dreamland’ is wonderfully atmospheric, and Sánchez’s fingers gracefully dance over the keys. We also loved ‘All of Us’ for its texture and colour. A wonderful composition, masterfully performed.

When asked why Sánchez chose the name ‘Rebirth’, he says, “Over the course of the last two years, I have started to learn how to reprogram my brain by taking personal development courses. My goal is to completely overcome my self-limiting beliefs that were hindering my growth and personal development. Now that I am starting to see the fruits of my success and change the way I think, I feel that, in some way, I am becoming a new person – I have been reborn.”

Sánchez cites his influences as, Max Richter and Ludovico Einaudi. He says, “I fell deeply in love with their compositions. I have always been a fan of ambient music; this is the music that I was creating at that time – but these artists were something special to me. They were different from the others. I loved the way they were mixing classical music with electronic sounds, using the piano as the main instrument. This started a fire of passion in me.” We can hear these influences in the album but make no mistake, Sánchez makes music all of his own.

So make sure you check out ‘Rebirth’ today. It is a beautiful album that needs to be heard to be fully appreciated. Check it out from the link below!
