Nadine Makalew/Nadine Traore – ‘Sonorous’

Musicians Nadine Makalew and Nadine Traore have released the must-hear EP, ‘Sonorous’. It is a rock-pop release that will have you reaching for the repeat button this January!

‘Don’t lie to me’ opens the release to a funky bass. As the beat drops, the vocals take the reins of the song. We adore the relatable lyrics and intelligent chordal progressions that set the piece a light.

In addition, ‘Confession’ takes the album in a fresh direction with a solo piano opening that is hauntingly beautiful. The vocals are filled with heart and soul and fill the sonic spectrum with vivid colour.

Moreover, ‘Born like this’ is an uplifting song with excellent vocal performances, punchy instrumentation and superb production. Finally, ‘Over you’ closes the release, leaving the listener wanting more!

Nadine Makalew says about the release, “After almost four years of working, I am happy to present my first official EP with my fellow musician from Germany, Nadine Traore.” She continues, “The EP has been a long journey while I was living in Germany for my studies. The songs had been written and produced by the two of us.”
