Roxercat – ‘Pearls’

The phenomenal Nashville-based band Roxercat are back with their stunning debut EP ‘Pearls’. It is a prog-rock release with six stunning tracks that takes the listener on a journey.

‘Pearls’ opens the release, and the excellent musicianship shines through from the get-go. We adore the soulful vocal performances and stunning backing instrumentation that set the scene for what is to come.

‘Crime’ takes the EP in a fresh direction with a funky groove, magnificent solos and inviting vocals. In addition, ‘Baby I Tried’ hears the EP take a melancholic turn with emotional melodies and gorgeous chordal progressions.

Moreover, ‘I Changed Today’ is fuelled by magnetic instrumentation and brilliant lyrics. Finally, ‘2020’ is an ever-evolving song that will leave you reaching for the repeat button.

The band say about the EP, “The songs touch on many themes, including life’s challenges in a digital age, love, relationships, the paradigm shifts of life, and living through uncertain times.”

Roxercat comprises band members, singer and songwriter Price Jones, guitarist Stan Lassiter, and bassist Bill Francis. Previously, they have released two stunning singles, and ‘Pearls’ is the first EP release from the group. We very much hope that it is the first of many!
