Sabet and Doherty – ‘The Secret’

Hailing from the United States, Sabet and Doherty have released the stunning EP ‘The Secret’. It is an alternative-rock release that needs to be on your new music radar this February.

The title track opens the release. Textured, staccato guitars ring out and draw the listener in. Then, as the charismatic vocals drop, they take the reins of the song. We adore the catchy melodies and inviting vibe.

Moreover, ‘You Will’ takes the EP in a fresh direction with a punchy feel and memorable melodies. The catchy chorus will have you reaching for the repeat button!

‘At the Brink of Dawn’ is a slower-paced track that gently evolves before the listener with stunning melodies and a melancholy vibe. Finally, ‘DLMD’ closes the release, bringing the EP full circle. ‘The Secret’ will have you reaching for the repeat button.

In addition, we enjoyed the mix, production and master of ‘The Secret’. Every part of the layered instrumentation shines bright and has its own space in the mix.

Previous Release

Previously, Sabet and Doherty released their debut EP in March 2020. After hearing ‘The Secret’, we can not wait to dive into their back catalogue too.

Musicianship

Sabet and Doherty (Steven Sabet and Brian Doherty) are excellent musicians in their respective fields, but the magic happens when they play together. Before forming the current band, Doherty drummed with They Might Be Giants, Freedy Johnston, and Ben Folds. Sabet played guitar in bands Darby Jones and MORE and is now Concert Master in the NJ Guitar Orchestra.
