‘Sand and Foam: Music Inspired by Kahlil Gibran’
The magnificent artists Kabir Sehgal, Amaan Ali Bangash, and Ayaan Ali Bangash have released the stunning album ‘Sand and Foam: Music Inspired by Kahlil Gibran’. It is a unique and compelling release that needs to be heard this Summer!
‘The Wanderer’ opens the release and instantly invites the listener in. A compelling beat underpins the gorgeous instrumentation and spacious vocals. In addition, ‘Sand and Foam’ takes the album in a fresh direction with a more laid-back vibe. The instrumentation fills the sonic landscape with vivid colour, and the audience is hooked!
We adore ‘Spirits Rebellious’, it takes the listener on a journey, and the gentle evolution of the piece is stunning. Moreover, ‘Jaipur Festival’ hears memorable melodies that will have the audience reaching for the repeat button. Finally, ‘A Tear and a Smile’ closes the beautiful album, simply divine.
‘Sand and Foam: Music Inspired by Kahlil Gibran’ is unparalleled to anything we have heard. It is a fusion of classical Indian music with jazz harmonies, trap drums, and neo-synths which makes for a luscious soundscape. It is innovative and utterly addictive. The album is inspired by the works of Lebanese writer and painter Kahlil Gibran, and almost all of the tracks take their names from his works.
We are thrilled to have heard ‘Sand and Foam: Music Inspired by Kahlil Gibran’, and we can not recommend Kabir Sehgal, Amaan Ali Bangash, and Ayaan Ali Bangash highly enough. Kabir Sehgal is a multi-grammy winner and Amaan Ali Bangash and Ayaan Ali Bangash are master sarodists. We hope there will be further collaborations between the trio. They are clearly excellent musicians in their respective fields, but the magic happens when they come together.
So make sure you add ‘Sand and Foam: Music Inspired by Kahlil Gibran’. It is a release that you do not want to miss!
