Slimmz – ‘Love Life’
Based in London, musician Slimmz has released the magnificent EP ‘Love Life’, in December 2020. It is a commercial-pop release that sets Slimmz as an artist to watch this 2021.
The five-track EP opens with ‘Bami Jo’. It is filled with luscious synths and an addictive beat. Slimmz’s vocals are characterful and charming from the get-go, drawing the audience in. It is a song which is filled with memorable melodies and a fantastic groove.
‘Weekend’ is a stand out track. It features Ycee and is a thoroughly compelling song. The textured backing instrumentation injects colour into the piece, and the track evolves before the listener.
‘Crazy’ features layered vocals and a laid back vibe. It has been masterfully composed and shines brightly within the EP. ‘Kowo Wole’ closes the release and leaves the audience wanting more!
Slimmz says the EP is about, “The duality of love and life. It reflects on aspects of romantic relationships and life in general and the importance of maintaining happiness.” Deeply relatable, we are sure that ‘Love Life’ will be a hit with existing Slimmz fans while simultaneously winning him an army of new ones too!
Countries
Slimmz is Nigerian-born and originally released his first demo in 2008. He has lived in various countries and on three different continents, and he says this has expanded his musical repertoire. He is currently settled in London and the release of ‘Love Life’ has thrust him back into the heart of the music scene.
