Spencer Elliott – ‘SE3’

Hailing from West Virginia, musician Spencer Elliott has released the magnificent album ‘SE3’. Released on CandyRat Records, it is a prog-rock release that you need to hear this Summer.

‘Torque’ opens the album and sets the scene wonderfully as to what is to come. As the song evolves, an addictive groove establishes itself and compels the audience.

‘Joystick’ is a standout song. From the memorable melodies to the excellent musicianship, it is a track that takes the listener on a journey. In addition, ‘Elipsos’ features unexpected chordal progressions and an intelligent arrangement.

‘Insignificant’ swims into the sonic spectrum with a dark and brooding feel before it erupts into a fiery masterpiece. Finally, ‘There’s Something in the Airlock’ closes the album, and it will have the listener reaching for the repeat button.

Spencer Elliott cites his influences as coming from artists such as Hedges, Ross, McKee and Dufour. Elliott is making world-class music of his own, and ‘SE3’ stands out as a classic album in the making.

Spencer Elliott is joined by musicians Sean Sydnor and Chris Hudson on this superb release. They are clearly excellent musicians in their separate fields, but when they play together, magic happens!

In addition, ‘SE3’ has been superbly produced by Eddie Ashworth and Spencer Elliott. They have created a body of work that will stand the test of time.

Fourth Release

‘SE3’ is the fourth release from Elliott, and after hearing it, we can not wait to check out his back catalogue too. An album like ‘SE3’ is the reason we hope the full album release never dies. All the songs stand alone well, but they also come together to create a complete body of work.

So make sure that you add ‘SE3’ to your new music playlist this week; you will not be disappointed.
