Staytus – ‘Disease Of The Mind’

Hailing from Scottsdale, musician Staytus has released the superb debut album ‘Disease Of The Mind’. It is a must-hear release that firmly sets Staytus as an artist to watch in 2022 and beyond.

‘Absolute Terror’ opens the release with a textured and innovative track that sets the scene beautifully as to what is to come. ‘An Echo in Space’ is a superb song that evolves before the listener, with the vocals shining at the forefront of the mix.

In addition, ‘Decay’ begins with an industrial vibe that instantly draws the listener in. We love the instrumentation that injects the sonic spectrum with luscious colour.

‘Hourglass’ takes the album in a fresh direction with punchy percussion, relatable lyrics and luscious instrumentation. Also, ‘None of It’ takes the listener by the hand on a new path. The wonderful vocals shine out and are underpinned by intelligently arranged instrumentation.

Staytus says about the release, “For those who haven’t listened to my music before, I can describe it as nu-goth, which borrows elements from industrial rock and grunge rock. It’s a journey that takes you into the mind of somebody struggling with mental illness.”

One thing is for sure; Staytus is an exciting talent who makes music that pushes boundaries while always relating to her audience. Her musicianship is second to none, and her unique sound ensures she stands out from the crowd.

We are thrilled to have heard ‘Disease Of The Mind’ and can not wait to listen to what this dynamic and talented artist will do next. Staytus is an artist who is leading the dark-wave genre forward into 2023, and we know she is destined for big things.

So make sure you add ‘Disease Of The Mind’ to your new music playlist this week. It is an album release that you do not want to miss.
