The Loud Bangs – ‘Stray Honey’

An FVMusicBlog favourite band are back! The Loud Bangs have released their magnificent EP, ‘Stray Honey’. It is a shoegaze release you do not want to miss this February 2023.

‘Electroprize’ opens the release and gently swims into the sonic spectrum. As the driving guitars create a luscious texture for the other instrumentation to grow from, the track evolves into a driving rock song.

In addition, ‘Sex Complex’ features compelling vocals, thought-provoking lyrics and memorable melodies. Also, ‘We All want to be All Right’ has a laid-back nature, stunning melodies and warm production.

Moreover, ‘The Is a Japanese Robot’ is an addictive track with catchy melodies and an intelligent arrangement. Finally, ‘Bell Gardens’ closes the release, and it will have you reaching for the repeat button.

The Loud Bangs says about this superb release, “Like its suggestive title, these tracks tilt towards themes of sex and sexual loneliness in a way past EPs avoided, making it a raw nerve filled with joy, terror, and shame.”
