Tom Tikka & The Missing Hubcaps – ‘Better Man’

Hailing from Helsinki, Musician Tom Tikka has released the brilliant album ‘Better Man’. It is a pop-rock album that reaches out and touches the listener with its sumptuous grooves and addictive melodies.

‘Hello Loneliness’ opens the album, and it is punchy and attention-demanding from the get-go. We adore the intelligent chordal progressions that take the listener on unexpected twists and turns. The chorus is catchy, and it will have the listener singing along in no time!

‘I’m Done with Blues’ is a power-pop upbeat song featuring a rhythm section, melodic bass and Tom Tikka’s charismatic vocals. ‘By 2022’ takes the album on a melancholic turn, adding further layers of depth to the release.

We adore ‘Snakebites’, the vocals are enticing from the beginning. It is a track that evolves before the listener and builds to a catchy, unforgettable chorus.

Tikka says about the release, “‘Better Man’ is my attempt to write one of those records that I grew up with. I thought it’d be nice to try to reproduce some of the magic that the great singer-songwriter albums of the 60s and 70s had – albeit with a modern twist. This was also an era when the Top 40 was a lot more eclectic than it is today.”

Previous Accomplishments

Previously, Tikka was the songwriter of the Sony/BMG & Warner Music band Carmen Gray. In addition, he won an ISSA Award (Emerging Male Artist of The Year) and was a Josie Music Awards and Hollywood Music nominee.
