VIX 20 – ‘Broken Melody’

Norfolk-based band VIX 20 have released the superb single ‘Broken Melody’ in March 2021. It is a power-pop single at its finest.

A laid back, full band sound greets the listener. We adore the rich and atmospheric vocals, which breakthrough and masterfully guide the single along. The gorgeous chordal progressions are unpredictable and keep the listener’s attention.

In addition, the layered vocals add weight to the track. The wonderful harmonies fill the piece with vivid colour, and every part of the layered instrumentation comes together harmoniously.

Also, the chorus is phenomenal. The main melody is memorable and stays with the listener long after the music has ended. We are sure that ‘Broken Melody’ will please existing VIX 20 fans while simultaneously winning them an army of new ones too.

VIX 20 say about their writing style, “Every song begins as power pop we then try to explore different genres.” They continue, “Lucky CJ is a perfectionist because the rest of us struggle with shoelaces.”

Band Members

VIX 20 are comprised of band members, CJ – Guitar/Vocals, Mills – Guitar/Vocals, Kill – Bass, and Rich – Drums. Separately they are excellent musicians, but when they come together, magic happens!

So make sure you check out ‘Broken Melody’ this weekend. VIX 20 is a band that releases music with a message, and ‘Broken Melody’ is no exception. It is a catchy listen with relatable lyrics and it is a track that will have you reaching for the repeat button.

We very much look forward to hearing what VIX 20 will do next. Make sure you follow the bands’ socials to be the first to hear about forthcoming releases. Until then, ‘Broken Melody’ is available from the link below; enjoy.
