Wayne Merdinger – ‘Troubadour’

Hailing from Scottsdale, musician Wayne Merdinger released the brilliant album ‘Troubadour’ in 2022. It is a folk-rock release that you need to hear this Summer.

The title track ‘Troubadour’ opens the release to a solitary acoustic guitar before the full band sound kicks in. We adore the engaging lyrics that reach out and touch the audience. In addition, Merdinger’s charismatic vocals effortlessly guide the song along.

We love ‘Poison’, from the staccato guitar to the evolving band sound; the listener is hooked from the get-go. Also, ‘Nebraska Bay’ grows from a gentle opening to a soft rock masterpiece.

Finally, ‘It’s Gonna Be Okay’ closes the release with infectious riffs and memorable melodies, leaving the listener reaching for the repeat button.

We also love the mix, production and master of ‘Troubadour’. Every part of the carefully constructed instrumentation has its own space in the mix and shines bright.

Wayne Merdinger cites his influences as coming from legendary artists from the 1960s and 1970s. We can hear this sound coming through on ‘Troubadour’, but make no mistake; Wayne Merdinger is making music all of his own!

Previous Releases

Previously, Merdinger has released three albums and six original singles since 2016. He is a prolific talent who continually pushes his craft boundaries and makes compelling and exciting music. After hearing ‘Troubadour’, we can not wait to check out his back catalogue too.

Formidable Talent

We are thrilled to have discovered Wayne Merdinger. He is a formidable troubadour who is making music that needs to be heard. He is an artist leading the folk-rock genre, and we can not wait to listen to what he will do next.
