Alexander Joseph – ‘Broken But Beautiful’
Hailing from Ashby in the UK, musician Alexander Joseph has released the intoxicating EP, ‘Broken But Beautiful’ in September 2020. It is an indie-pop release that will have you reaching for the repeat button.
‘What Father’s Do’ opens the release, it is instantly enticing and relatable. The listener feels as though Joseph is speaking directly to them, and this is a big part of his charm.
‘Broken’ is a piano-based song with heartfelt lyrics. The chorus is catchy and earnest with and characterful lyrics. We enjoyed ‘Waiting For You’, the layered instrumentation creates a solid foundation for the vocals to shine and captivate its listener. Finally, ‘Invincible’ closes the synth-pop release and leaves the listener wanting more.
Joseph says, “I combine my music career with a job in Paralympic sport, where I’m currently overseeing the physical training of the British wheelchair tennis players on route to Tokyo 2021.” He continues, “I hope my music can bring encouragement to the listener, and I aim to deliver inspiring or heartfelt messages within my songs that people can relate to.” We do not doubt that Joseph’s objective will be achieved with this release!
Previous Work
Previously, Joseph’s music has featured on Channel 4’s ‘The Superhumans Show’ & his motivational songs about overcoming obstacles have also been heard across some of the UK’s most iconic sports venues & on BBC Introducing. After hearing ‘Broken But Beautiful’ we can understand why!
We thoroughly recommend adding ‘Broken But Beautiful’ to your weekday playlist. It is a wonderful release that will touch the hearts of its listeners. We very much look forward to hearing what will come next from this exciting artist. Until then, the EP is available from the link below.
