Musicians Alix Robson and Anita Traci have co-written and released their superb latest single ‘You and I’. It is a synth-pop release that is destined to win the hearts of its listeners.

A mysterious opening greets the listener before the infectious beat kicks in. Joyous and driving, the instrumentation lay the foundation for Alix Robson’s smooth and enticing vocals to enter. Anita Traci provides textured backing vocals, and the song is in full flow. Lyrically, ‘You and I’ is relatable and resonates with the listener. We love the addictive chorus, which is destined to have you reaching for the repeat button.

‘You and I’ is the joint project by musicians Alix Robson and Anita Traci. They co-wrote the single together after meeting at a writing workshop two years ago. They say, “The song is about finally expressing feelings for someone whom you adore.” Anita continues, “The song was originally a poem written for my friend and just happened to work with the track, and so we re-structured it lyrically to flow.”

The duo cites their influences as coming from RnB, soul, pop, dance, and house music. We can hear these genres coming through on ‘You and I’, but Alix Robson and Anita Traci are making a sound all of their own.

”You and I’ was recorded in London and Abel Beatz has superbly produced it. Together the team have created a single that is an electric pop anthem. When asked if there any notable or amusing happenings surrounding the recording? Anita says, “I nearly got locked in the vocal booth and tried not to break the door handle whilst portraying she-woman to get out providing for an amusing experience to those watching from outside!”

Make sure you check out ‘You and I’ today, you will not be disappointed!
