Basement Strippers – ‘Throw Me An Anchor’
Basement Strippers are a brilliant four-piece rock band hailing from Bedford. Their latest single ‘Throw Me An Anchor’ is an indie-rock classic in the making.
A gorgeous electric guitar opens the piece. We love the emotive vocals which enter and take the lead. The stripped-back nature in the beginning quickly evolves in a full band sound, filling the sonic spectrum with colour and texture.
We love the driving guitars and synths, which are captivating and demand the listener’s attention. The chorus is intoxicating, and the listener looks forward to it coming back around.
In addition, we really enjoyed the mix, production and master of ‘Throw Me An Anchor’. Every part of the varied instrumentation has its own space in the mix and shines in its own light.
Basement Strippers are comprised of band members Jamie Gilman-Lewis – Lead Vocals, Bass Guitar, Bayley McNamee – Guitar, William Gilman-Lewis – Keyboards, and Lucas Hammond – Drums. They are all excellent musicians, and when they come together, magic happens.
Spotify Streams
The band amassed over 13,000 Spotify streams in 2019 alone. They have sold out a number of headline shows too. Their debut single ‘We Are Not Afraid’ featured in the official soundtrack for the movie ‘Dead Squad’, and the band have formed a solid fan base. We are sure that ‘Throw Me An Anchor’ will please existing Basement Strippers fans while simultaneously winning them an army of new ones too!
So make sure you add Basement Strippers to your weekday playlist. ‘Throw Me An Anchor’ is an excellent song that needs to be heard. We very much look forward to hearing what these superb musicians will do next! ‘Throw Me An Anchor’ is available to hear from the link below.
