Bethany Ferrie – ‘Under’
Glasgow based musician Bethany Ferrie has released her superb latest single ‘Under’, today 10th July 2020. It is a folk-pop classic in the making.
A warm production greets the listener. Ferrie’s soulful and emotive vocals enter and take centre stage in the mix. We love the heartfelt lyrics which run throughout the track. Ferrie is able to connect with the listener and relate to them. The chorus is memorable and driving; it stays with the listener long after the music has ended. Also, the hook is incredibly catchy, and it will have the listener reaching for the repeat button.

Ferrie says about the release, “The people who are supposed to be there for you, it’s always the hardest heartbreak when they’re the ones to let you down. Friendships, relationships, family relationships; they’re the things that can really make you or break you completely.”
“I’ve never been the person that someone never wants to lose, and that sort of thing can eat away at you if you think about it too much. You end up questioning your own self-worth. It’s a headspace that you slip into but have to claw your way back out of.”
Through her honest lyrics and guitar-driven music, Ferrie’s previous single ‘Stayed’ received support from the likes of A & R Factory, Neon Music and BBC Radio nan GĂ idheal. We are so excited to see that Ferrie will be playing at the Country 2 Country Festival next year, 2021.
We recommend checking out Bethany Ferrie this weekend; she is an exciting artist who is making waves this summer and we very much look forward to hearing what she will do next.
